Archiving an account on Bujeti removes it from your active accounts view without deleting transaction history. This is useful for accounts tied to completed projects, former team members, or outdated financial structures. Archived accounts means deleting an account and cannot be restored
What Happens When You Archive an Account?
Before you proceed, here’s exactly what archiving means in Bujeti:
Funds are automatically transferred: Any remaining balance is liquidated and moved into your main Bujeti account.
The account becomes inactive: You won’t be able to send or receive funds from the archived account.
Transaction history stays accessible: All past transactions remain available for your records, audits, and reports.
Archiving helps you keep your dashboard clean while preserving your full financial history.
Step 1: Log into your Bujeti Dashboard and click on "Accounts" in the left sidebar navigation
You'll see the Accounts page displaying all your active accounts
Browse through your accounts list to find the account you want to archive and select the three-dot menu (⋮) on the right side of the account
Click on "Archive account" (displayed with a red archive icon)
Step 2: A confirmation modal will appear with the title "Archive account" and the message:
"Are you sure you want archive this account?"
The modal includes two buttons:
Cancel – Return to accounts without archiving
Archive – Confirm and proceed with archiving (red button)
Review the account details one final time
Click the "Archive" button (red) to confirm
Warning: This action is irreversible. Archived accounts cannot be unarchived and cannot be used for sending or receiving transactions.
Double-check before proceeding, as archiving an account effectively means deleting it.
