Blocking a physical corporate card is essential when there is a risk of unauthorized use, such as when the card is lost, stolen, or compromised. This measure helps prevent fraudulent transactions, protecting the company's finances and maintaining security over business funds. Additionally, blocking the card can be an immediate response to suspicious activity, ensuring that only legitimate expenses are charged to the company account. By doing so, businesses can mitigate potential losses and maintain tighter control over their financial operations.

Here is a quick guide to learn how to block a physical corporate card on Bujeti.

Step 1: Log in to your Bujeti dashboard and click on "Cards" in the sidebar menu.

  • From your list of cards, click on the specific physical card you want to top up to open its details page.

  • At the bottom of the card details screen, locate and click the "Block" button.

Step 2: A confirmation modal will appear asking you to verify your intention to block the card. Review the details carefully, then click "Confirm" to proceed.

  • The card is now blocked. You'll see:

    • The card status changes to "Blocked" in your dashboard

    • All future transaction attempts will be declined immediately

    • The card can no longer be used for POS, online, or ATM transactions

    • A notification confirming the successful block action

Unblocking a Card

If you need to restore access to a blocked card:

  1. Navigate back to the blocked card's details page or click on the three-dots

  2. Click the "Unblock" button (replaces the Block button for blocked cards)

  3. Confirm your action

  4. The card becomes active again immediately

The card is now unblocked. Card transactions can now be made.

Security Consideration: Only unblock cards if you're certain the security threat has been resolved. In cases of loss or theft, it's safer to request a new physical card instead.
