Understanding Virtual Card Liquidation
What Is Card Liquidation?
Card liquidation is the process of permanently deactivating a virtual card and transferring any remaining balance back to your designated budget. This action:
Immediately blocks all future transactions
Cancels the card number permanently
Returns unused funds to your business account
Creates an audit record of the closure
Maintains transaction history for reporting
Step 1: Setting Limits for Existing Cards
Log in to your Bujeti dashboard and click "Cards" in the sidebar menu.
From your list of cards, click on the physical card you want to configure to open its details page. On the card details page, click the three-dots and the select " Liquidate card**"** button.
Step 2: A liquidation confirmation screen appears
Click on Liquidate to complete this process
You have successfully liquidated the card
Note: The funds will be sent to the original budget it was funded from. Also, confirm from the admin before liquidating any card
