How to Review a Fund Request on Bujeti

Learn how to review and approve fund requests using Bujeti's approval system.

Fund request review is the approval process that ensures all financial requests go through proper oversight before execution. As an approver, you evaluate requests based on budget availability, business justification, and compliance with company policies before funds are released.

Step 1: Log into your Bujeti Dashboard and at the side bar, click on Requests

  • Click the "Request Funds" button (typically located in the top-right corner of the Requests page)

  • On the Requests page, you'll see all pending fund requests awaiting your approval

  • Click on any request to open its full details or click on the three-dots to view options like (Approve and pay , Approve only, Approve and schedule, Decline request, Request more info or Delete request)


Step 2: Carefully examine all information provided by the requester:

Key Details to Review:

  • Requester Name – Who is making the request?

  • Request Type – Budget creation, top-up, vendor payment, card funding, or account top-up

  • Amount – The exact amount being requested

  • Reason – Why the requester needs these funds

  • Supporting Documents – Attached invoices, receipts, proposals, or other relevant files

  • Budget Impact – How this request affects current budget allocations

  • Request Date – When the request was submitted


Step 3. After reviewing the request, you have three options:

If the request is justified and aligns with budget and policy:

  • Click the "Approve and pay" button or click on the dropdown to view other options (Approve only or Approve and schedule payment)

  • The funds will be processed according to the request type

  • Both you and the requester will receive confirmation

✓ Review requests promptly – Timely approvals keep operations running smoothly and prevent payment delays

✓ Verify supporting documents – Always check that attached files support the request amount and reason

✓ Check budget availability – Ensure sufficient funds exist in the relevant budget before approving

✓ Provide clear feedback – When declining or modifying requests, explain your reasoning to help requesters improve future submissions

✓ Follow company policies – Ensure all requests comply with your organization's spending policies and approval limits

✓ Ask questions when needed – If details are unclear, reach out to the requester for clarification before making a decision
