If you've just downloaded the Bujeti mobile app, you might be wondering: "Do I still need the web dashboard?"

Yes. But not for the same things.

The mobile app and web dashboard work together. They're not duplicates; each is designed for different moments. If you understand when to use each one, your team moves faster, approvals don't stall, and finance doesn't become a bottleneck.

The Core Difference

The web dashboard is where you build your financial structure.

The mobile app is where you use that structure in real time.

Think of it this way:

  • Web = Configuration (Create budgets, set up workflows, add team members)

  • Mobile = Execution (Approve requests, make payments, track spending)

You don't choose one over the other. You switch depending on what the moment requires.

Simple rule:

If it's urgent and action-based → Use mobile

If it's structural and setup-based → Use web

When to Use the Mobile App

Use the mobile app when you need to act immediately.

The mobile app is designed for speed, responsiveness, and quick decision-making. No delays. No waiting to get back to your desk.

Use mobile when you need to:

Approve and pay:

  • Approve fund requests in seconds

  • Make vendor or employee payments on the go

  • Process urgent requests even when you're in meetings

Track and monitor:

  • Check budget balances in real time

  • Review recent transactions

  • See spending across teams or projects

Request and capture:

  • Request funds from a budget or account

  • Submit reimbursement requests with receipt photos

  • Snap and attach receipts immediately after purchase

Respond quickly:

  • Handle time-sensitive approvals

  • Authorise emergency payments

  • Give your team instant answers

When to Use the Web Dashboard

Use web when you need to set things up properly.

The web dashboard is built for configuration, structure, and strategic financial management. These tasks require a bigger screen, focused attention, and deliberate setup.

Use web when you need to:

Create and configure:

  • Create new budgets and define spending limits

  • Set up approval workflows

  • Configure company settings and permissions

Manage people and vendors:

  • Add team members and assign roles

  • Create vendors or customers

  • Manage user permissions

Connect and integrate:

  • Link external bank accounts

  • Connect integrations (QuickBooks, Slack, Zoho, etc.)

  • Set up payment automation

Analyse and report:

  • Generate detailed financial reports

  • Export data for accounting

  • Run analytics across multiple periods

Process at scale:

  • Process batch payments

  • Bulk approve multiple requests

  • Upload CSV files for mass transactions

Why Some Features Are Web-Only

This is intentional design, not a limitation.

Mobile is optimised for:

  • Speed

  • Immediate action

  • On-the-go responsiveness

Web is optimised for:

  • System structure

  • Governance and compliance

  • Administrative control

  • Strategic financial planning

Trying to configure complex workflows on a phone would increase errors and slow you down. Bujeti separates execution from configuration to reduce risk and improve speed.

How They Work Together

Everything syncs instantly between mobile and web. There's no manual syncing. No duplication. No reconciliation gaps.

If you:

  • Approve on mobile → Web updates immediately

  • Make a payment on mobile → Finance sees it instantly

  • Attach a receipt on mobile → It's available on the web immediately

  • Create a budget on the web → It appears on mobile right away

They operate as one system.

A Practical Workflow Example

Here's how a typical business uses both platforms together:

  1. Finance creates budgets on the web (structured setup)

  2. Managers approve requests on mobile (quick action)

  3. Employees make payments on mobile (on-the-go execution)

  4. Receipts are captured instantly (mobile efficiency)

  5. Finance reviews reports on the web (detailed analysis)

That's how the system is designed to function.

Who Can Use the Mobile App?

Important: The mobile app is only for existing Bujeti web users.

If you cannot log in to dashboard.bujeti.com, you cannot log in to the mobile app.

Don't have access yet?

Ask your company admin to add you as a team member first. Once you have web access, you can download and use the mobile app.

The mobile app does not create standalone accounts—it extends your existing web access.
